David’s North Staffordshire Railway Coaches from Etched Pixels kits comprising etches on a 3D printed shell (right)
Alan and Dave deep in conversation
Progress on Dave’s LBSCR E4 from Worsley Works scratch aid parts. The various sub-assemblies were placed together roughly for this photograph.
Guy hard at work building a replacement 2FS chassis for a Union Mills LSWR 395 Class
Guy was also working on a Jinty chassis from a Bob Jones kit.
Gareth’s has been as prolific as ever – here are his latest models (in descending order of size).
First up a LNER J17 from a Stelfox etch with tender drive utilising the Dapol Terrier chassis.
The GER Coffee Pot is an Atso Cad 3D print running on a modified N Drive Productions chassis.
And finally SECR No 313 which is an exquisite scratch built body on a Japanese chassis.
I was playing with some test etches of brakes for Farish BR1 bogies. There are separate versions that utilise the NEM pocket for inter coach rakes (the top etch and right hand bogie on the Mk1 coach)
The etch assemblies. A few tweaks to the etch are needed. The sheet also has similar brakes for the Farish CCT and LNER van plus an early test etch of a certain iconic bike from the 1970s….
An area group meeting is as much about the conversations as it is the work.
