Here's a few pictures of our latest meeting. Click on a picture to see it in more detail.
- More wagons for Llangerisech – this is David’s contribution comprising various LMS and ex-MR opens, an ex LNWR van, some GWR fitted vans and older GWR cattle wagons. All are from Association kits save for one cattle wagon which is 3D printed by Ian Smith.
- Nigel was hard at work getting the Churchward Mogul ready for Llangerisech’s appearance at East Grinstead on 14/15 March.
- The Mogul has a home cast resin boiler from a turned brass master and resin cylinders and firebox from a plastic master. The footplate and cab are milled nickel silver. It utilises Nigel’s own chassis kit from the Manor and the tender is the Dapol item. It is powered by a Mashima 1016.
- Gareth was lining a SECR coach.
- This is one of Gareth’s earlier efforts, a SECR 6 wheel passenger luggage van from a Bill Bedford kit.
- Gareth also had his tram from an N Drive whitemetal kit plus a diminutive Ruston 48DS from an Etched Pixels 3D print.
- Guy explains his Class 73 conversion to Gareth.
- The Class 73 has had the lighting strip removed to allow the body to sit lower, bogies modified to accept correct diameter (Farish) wheels and replacement brass buffers.
- Guy was also building a cannon – not in 2FS!
- Dave takes a break to catch up on his reading. He has earned it because….
- …he was building working 3 link couplings!
- Gareth, David and Alan in conversation
